We want to champion and encourage more girls and women into tech by showing them some of the pioneering women who have changed the world with tech. Highlighting women trailblazers inspires and helps form role models for our younger generation of girls.
This engaging and interactive two hour workshop is aimed at mums (or female guardians, ie, grandma's, big sisters, aunties, etc) and daughters (aged 9 - 12 year olds). We know whānau are a big influence in steering children to a specific career, by engaging with both we want to erase any negative stereotypes of tech and encourage more girls to consider a career in tech.
Run by women who work in the software engineering teams at Xero, we are keen to share our passions for problem solving, collaboration and the creative ways technology can be used to solve real world problems.
