Family night at the movies has never been so exhausting... if you want to come to watch our outdoor movies make sure you bring your bike legs and your energy too. We've got bikes on a frame, a battery and a projector and somehow it will all come together on the night.
Leading up to the movie night high school students have worked with local business enthusiasts to put a framework together which will hold up to 10 stationary bikes for keen cyclists whose combined pedal power will generate enough energy to make the movie run. (Bikes are provided.)
We'll be setting up the kit and testing it from 5.30 onwards, so come to watch if you're interested. Movies will screen from 7-8 pm.
A coffee cart for warm drinks, food and popcorn will be available for purchase. Exercise, movie and laughter is totally free.
This is a fun night - a great FREE community evening in the middle of May to keep you warm and entertained. Bring a team and compete against each other to see who can generate the most power. Compete against your spouse/partner. Bike for one minute or 10 or more - it's up to you. But the movie doesn't run if the battery isn't charged. So bring a deck chair or cushion, come on down and join in. See you there!
You can drop into this event at any time.
