TourismTech19 will challenge your thinking, innovative ideas and get the creative juices flowing. A 'start-up' style event, people will form groups and develop solutions for a particular issue, idea or opportunity in the hospitality and tourism industry.

What's it all about?

This event will focus on innovation, idea generation  and hands on experience within a start-up environment for those that attend. The theme will centre on the tourism and hospitality industries.

Senior Lecturer at PIHMS, Steve Wilson has extensive experience in the tourism sector, from the development of marketing and software solutions to key roles at strategic levels. Phd Candidate at Massey University researching workplace bullying.

Marketing Administrator

MJ is the marketing and recruitment advisor for the PIHMS international student market. MJ has experience in quick wins, continuous improvements and project management from the finance industry with a background in travel and tourism specialising in the NZDF market.

Mr Kial Muir

International Systems Specialist

Kial is the International Systems Specialist here at PIHMS, working on the development of online digital platforms to better utilise technology . Graduating with a Bachelors Degree from PIHMS in 2009, Kial has extensive experience in event planning, data manipulation, finance and project management.
