What's it all about?

Bringing SpaceTech back to earth, The Aerospace Challenge focuses on sustainable agriculture by using satellite data to improve the agriculture industry here on earth. Contestants are challenged to develop a product or service that detects, monitors or measures water or soil pollution using satellite data and UA technology.

Toni is currently CEO of Blinc Innovation He Puna KariKari, an agrifood tech science and innovation cluster focused on landing innovation through collaboration and connections created between growers, industry, research and education in New Zealand’s and the world’s Agrifood and technology sector. Toni has had over 20 years’ experience in agriculture, food and beverage, consulting and industrial sectors across corporate strategy, transforming the customer experience, designing and delivering growth initiatives and technology solutions, establishing new business models and ventures across multiple stakeholders and geographies.

Emeline Paat-Dahlstrom

Co-Founder, International Space Consultants and SpaceBase

Emeline is an author, speaker and space entrepreneur. She is the Co-Founder of International Space Consultants and SpaceBase – a social enterprise working to democratize access to space in emerging countries, starting with New Zealand. Emeline is an Edmund Hillary Fellow, and is the former Chief Impact Officer of Singularity University based in California, USA.

Emeline has Physics, and Earth and Space Science degrees, and attended the International Space University Space Studies Program. She has worked and consulted for several space startups including Space Adventures, Zero Gravity Corporation, and Odyssey Moon. Emeline is co-author of the book Realizing Tomorrow: The Path to Private Space Flight which was selected in 2013 for the US Air Force’s Chief of Staff Reading List.
