Charlie Meaden

Co-Founder - CPO - Director at MetaGame Technology

Charlie Meaden is the CPO and Co-Founder of MetaGame Technology. Prior to MetaGame Technology Charlie was the co-founder and CEO of Uproar.gg, a reward platform for gamers that over 250,000 gamers visited every month, which was sold to ADVNCR in October of 2018.

Previous to Uproar, Charlie ran product development for a gamification startup focused on incentivising college students to live more sustainably. His original passion for gaming and gamification started when started gaming at 13. Once Charlie got into gaming he went on to play at a pro level in a number of esport titles.

Ross McDougall has an extensive background in social media and content creation within the New Zealand gaming industry.

After working with Xbox New Zealand as social media lead for four years, Ross joined Te Wānanga o Aotearoa as social media adviser. His most recent work includes the Māori Language Award-winning 'Mahuru Māori Fortnite', a campaign dedicated to using Fortnite to educate youth on how to speak te Reo Māori.

Conrad Ware is the Founder and Managing Director of Ping Zero Events. A passionate gamer with a background in IT networking. In 2002 Conrad founded Ping Zero, a company built to formalise his hobby of running small LAN gaming events with friends, into a recognised business.

Ping Zero came from grass roots and has always been about supporting the gaming community. Conrad wants to break down those barriers and stereotypes to help grow New Zealand gamers to be a cohesive community.
