Mr Ross Pearce

Program Manager Business Innovation Group

Ross has a broad and far-reaching innovation background from championing, managing and leading innovation at an executive level through to detailed product design and development across a wide range of technologies and HVMS sectors that include: medical, scientific, automotive, consumer, computer, electronic, security, refrigeration, marine, heating, juvenile, gaming, communication, furniture, food, retail, logistics and vending. Through his work he has assisted many companies across Australasia to commercialise their knowhow and deliver improved commercial results through good design and innovation practice.

Ross studied Industrial Design in what is now Massey University Wellington and formed the product design consultancy, Konstrukt, in Sydney in the late 1980’s. Konstrukt was a founding tenant at the Australian Technology Park in Sydney and amongst other initiatives was an early champion of diverse collaboration, actively forming and facilitating diverse discussion and project groups. In the late 90’s Ross sold Konstrukt to further his innovation interests. This led to a commercial innovation role with a major Tier 1 Melbourne automotive supplier and subsequently to taking up executive Innovation roles for two of New Zealand’s most iconic companies. Beyond his deep Innovation and Design experience Ross has a passion in understanding new thinking around Innovation practice and how to effectively apply that into the New Zealand business landscape to help New Zealand businesses become global innovation leaders.
