Techweek Highlight Event

Techweek TV : Innovation that's good for the world - Christchurch showcase

We showcase two Christchurch organisations doing good for the world. Hear about their impact on the way business is done.

What's it all about?

Every day of Techweek at 4pm, we’ll be showcasing two companies in each region who are innovating in a way that’s truly good for the world. Today we give the stage to two start ups in Christchurch. Hear about their journeys and the exciting impact they have made.

Hear from the creator of Romer, Emily Heazelwood, who talks about how her passion for innovation and adventure led her to create the app. Romer connects tens of thousands of locals and tourists with unique, curated and crowdsourced experiences from the best laneway espresso to hidden waterfall walks.

ConservationTech company Cacophony discusses the set of technologies they are developing to eliminate predators of native birds, how they are monitoring birdsong to measure the impact and increasing trapping efficiency by up to 80,000 times in the long term.

You can drop into this event at any time.
