What's it all about?

The America’s cup has lead to a plethora of innovations. Materials developed for the race are now appearing on space ships, a GPS developed for performance enhancement is now being transferred to other sporting events and there are many more stories.

This session looks at the interconnectedness of products and innovations that come out of world class sporting events. Tune in learn how technology developed for the America's Cup has made a global impact and created a hub of world leading innovators in Dunedin.

Ben Taylor

Golf and Cricket Operations Manager, Animation Research Ltd

Ben Taylor has been with Animation Research for 10+ years. Ben attended high school in Dunedin and then completed a BA at Florida Southern College after earning a tennis scholarship. Ben spent the first 7 years working for ARL on the road delivering 3D graphics for European Tour Productions, CBS, TNT, ESPN and IMG. In 2016 Ben returned to Dunedin where he took up the role of Head of Golf.
