DuneCorps - Multiplayer Gaming Event

A community initiative for young video game enthusiasts to exercise their favourite gaming hobby in an authentic, social atmosphere.

What's it all about?

Your Corps is an innovative initiative in the South Island that specializes in networking computer systems in order to play multiplayer video games with peers congregating within the same room.

We provide the platform for young video game enthusiasts to exercise their favourite hobby while participating in an authentic, social atmosphere. The groups run in Gore, Invercargill, Queenstown, Timaru and now we want to launch the community initiative in Dunedin!

Using our crowd-sourced funding we invested in the equipment to run sessions for up to 20 young people so they can enjoy gaming in a healthier, more social way - thus giving young people not interested in traditional sports, a place to learn the skills of teamwork and enjoy mutual hobbies with their peer group outside of school.

Now, with the support of Electric Kiwi and Otago Polytech, we bring this social gaming experience to Dunedin as part of TechWeek 2019!

NOTE: We can accommodate 20 players at computers but have space for more people to watch so feel free to drop in if you'd like to get a feel for these events, watch your family/friends take part, or speak to James about bringing these events to your stadium/community group/school!
