Step into the digital playground of Blockwith, where you create an avatar on your smartphone then watch as it interacts and builds an ever-changing landscape with others on the larger-than-life Digital Stage in Aotea Square.
Highly visual and vivid, Blockwith is the creation of French artist Guillaumit and coder Yann Van der Cruyssen who have combined their love of bold graphics, bright colours and quirky humour in an interactive experience that’s both playful and filled with meaning.
Encouraging interaction, diversity and engagement Blockwith takes over the Auckland Live Digital Stage daily from May 20 to end of June.
Check the Auckland Live Digital Stage schedule for screen times and more details. [https://www.aucklandlive.co.nz/show/digital-stage]
Meet the artist Guillaumit at #FutureSlam, May 21 at Auckland Museum, where he will join other guest speakers and panellists to discuss and explore the impact of digital technology on the arts and culture experience. [https://www.aucklandlive.co.nz/show/future-slam]
